Show archives from one category

    I have 2 categories, news and press, with the latest of each showing as an excerpt on my home page. When I click on ‘read more’ on either it shows the correct post in my themed page. I even have it displaying which category the post is from as a heading.
    However, the archive in the sidebar shows all the posts.
    How can I show the archives only of either news or press, depending on the category of the post?

    You could try using the Categories widget instead of the Archives widget?

    I see where you are coming from on this dgwyer, and I have tried it, but I do still want everything archived. I just want it to distinguish what category the post is from and only show the archive for that category without having to create another template.

    A bit obvious really 🙂
