Show all categories on custom post type archive page?

I googled a lot for a solution, but I’ve had no luck. Hopefully you guys can help.

I have a custom post type registered called “products”, and a taxonomy called “product-category”. On the products custom post type archive page, I want to display a list of categories along with their descriptions.

How can I do this?
