Shouldn't comment notification emails be sent to the blog author? (3 posts)

Under SETTINGS/DISCUSSION/EMAIL ME WHENEVER I have both "Anyone posts a comment" and "a comment is held for moderation" checked.

    Under USERS/ALL USERS/USER1 I have "email address #1".

Under SETTINGS/GENERAL/EMAIL ADDRESS I have "email address #2".

When User1 writes a blog post and someone comments, the email notification is being sent to email address #2 instead of User1's email.

Shouldn't those notifications be sent to the author of the blog post?

For security reasons, WP's core email functionality will only send emails to the address you put in the settings. By default at least.

There are plugins you can use to achieve the effect you're looking for. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-alerts/
