• Hi. Would love opinions on this.

I have a client using a (non-standard, not their sole business) web hosting company for their WordPress install. Due to problems with the HOST’s server settings, I have had trouble with installing updates and other common WordPress functions, that required them to tweak their server’s settings. My poor client keeps getting charged for their time.

As an example, today I was updating a menu for her. We ran over 15 menu items, and apparently, a server file needs to be updated to allow WordPress to do that. (For now, my menu will not “save”).

So we call the Host, and they want to charge my customer for their time.

Seems to me…If they are going to offer WordPress installation and hosting, that they would need to provide the settings that allow their sites to be functional to their clients. It is THEIR issue, nor ours, in my estimation.

Have any of you run into this before? I would appreciate hearing from you!
