Support » Networking WordPress » should I use a multi-site?

Hi, I wonder if I should go down the route of setting up network admin and multi-site. Can someone give me some advice please of the best way to have two separate wordpress websites each with different domain names, different themes (looking different from each other) yet using the same shopping cart and infusionsoft plugin?
I have installed the first single wordpress ecommerce site already at public_html directory and it would be easy enough to create a network, before the site goes live. my client has 3-4 websites that she will eventually want brought over to her unlimited business hosting account with hostgator, but just one other site she wants to access the same shopping cart for now.
Am I right to assume we can achieve our goals, by multi-site and interconnecting plugins to gain access to the same shopping cart and other plugins?
    Thanks,

Multiple sites can’t share a shopping cart at this time. No plugin I know of can do it.
