   hi there,

   i'm about to install the 2.7.1 version of wordpress. but i'm already registered on the wordpress web blog. Will installing it means i have to make another wordpress blog account? Hope for your response.

   They're totally separate. Even better, you can reuse your wordpress ID for your Akismet key. You can use that same key for all sites you host using WordPress.

   And for search engine purposes, it never hurts to have both at the same time: doubles the chance people will find your site using the keywords that match your articles.
