Shotcodes with 'more' link

    I am working on a theme for a bar and grill which uses shortcodes to display posts differently across the site. The menu and specials pages both show a list of posts as well as the home page sidebar.
    What I would like to do is show more text on the post page but when $more = 1; the $content var is null in the shortcode. Can I change that behavior so that only the shortcode function is processed and the ‘ragular’ content is not displayed?
