   I have installed this plugin to a site hosted with HostGator. I have confirmed that I my server is running PHP 5.2.13 with json and CURL running. I am using the "Self Domain" option to shorten links.

   When I post a new blog entry nothing is going out to Ping. I have tested Ping.fm and it working. I am also not seeing any errors in the custom field.

   What else do I need to do or change to fix this?

   Maybe you would ask to your hosting provider support, some of them have restrictions about outgoing connections from their servers.

   Also you can try to use one external shortener, to see if you can get any result in that way.
