  • Hi,

    thanks for your question.

From TablePress’s point of view, there’s nothing against this. Basically, Responsive Mobile-Friendly Tooltip would have to support Shortcodes, I guess.

Thanks, so I take it from your reply that it doesn’t (support shortcodes)?

    Hi,

no, that’s not what I meant. I merely stated what would be required from TablePress’s point of view. Unfortunately, I don’t know the Responsive Mobile-Friendly Tooltip plugin and don’t have the time to take a look at its source code, so that you’ll have to wait for an answer from the Responsive Mobile-Friendly Tooltip plugin developer here…

Ah ok sorry I misunderstood Tobias, I mistook you for the developer – thanks for your time on this.

    Hi,

no problem. 🙂 I’m “only” the developer of TablePress here 🙂
I hope that this can be fixed for you.

Have you tried just using them together? Does it work? What’s the output?
Unfortunately I’m really short on time so I can’t promise I’ll be able to deal with this issue. I’m very sorry for that, truth to be told I haven’t dealt with more pressing issues either as I’m barely at home or near a computer.

    Hi ItayXD

No worries, it isn’t a big thing just wanted to know if there was a trick to it.

I tried a few options – it either just prints the shortcode as text, or it breaks the tooltip code early.

    Thanks

    Hi there.

You can use any shortcode in tooltip base content (not the bubble content) updating to the latest 1.4 or using the enabling nested shortcodes plugin Outerbridge Nested Shortcodes.

If any further questions look at this similar thread about nested shortcodes in attributes.

    Cheers,

Just found an interesting workaround. Try the new 1.5.1 version.

Now exists a new attribute: hover.
If you use hover instead of tip, the content (where you can place nested shortcodes) will be placed in the tooltip.

In other words, you can achieve your wish by doin’ something like that:
[tooltip hover="hover these words"]This is the tooltip value in the bubble, with a [nested]shortcode[/nested][/tooltip]

    Cheers,

    Hi,

very nice! Thanks for sharing that idea!

I hope that this will work for you 🙂
