   I've spent many hours on this to no avail, and read page after page.
   Please may I have some examples for the shortcode for theme-my-login for a register page, lost password page, and reset password page.

   What are you trying to do exactly? The plugin automatically handles all of that out-of-the-box. Also, the link you specified documents every option available.
