Short URL isn't pulling | WordPress.org

We currently use another plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/shorten-url/) to over-ride wp_get_shortlink. I have WordPress Built-in Shortener selected under settings but no matter when we syndicate, it does the full path of our blog in our fb/twitter posts.

What are we doing wrong?

Do you have %SURL% in your message format?

Yes, I do. It’s still sending out the long URL.

The Shorten URL takes over wp_get_shortlink so I’m not entirely sure why it’s not working together.

We did pay for the pro plugin.
