Short term caching using WP-Cache?

I’m just wondering what negative effects could come from using WP-Cache over short periods (30-40 seconds) instead of the default 1 hour or several minutes?

A strange question yes, but the site I’m intending to use it for 30 seconds on has a huge amount of traffic but relies on certain things which don’t play well (they don’t update the cache) with wp-cache.
