I have recently upgraded my wordpress 2.7 to 2.8.4 with horrible results. While my over all upgrade was a success, I am having trouble with the short code.
if I have a post like this, [c][e]info[e2][c2] The short code for [c] and [e2] work but the short code for [e] and [c2] remain as [e] and [c2].
From what I can tell, this problem happens when two short codes are directly next to one another. If they are directly next to each other, the second code does not work.
For example, if I had [c] [e]info[e2] [c2] all of the short codes work.
I currently have roughly 15,000 posts all of which are using short code. I really need to find a solution to this problem and editing my shortcode by hand is simply not an option.
Does any one have any solution that I could try?
I have done some research and the problem may be related to the new shortcode escaping. However, I have no idea how to correct that. I have no use for the shortcode feature, so if it must be disabled, that is perfectly fine with me.
