Shopping cart (YAK) conflicting with Ajax Event Calendar

when I upgraded my YAK shopping cart version, the Ajax Calendar stopped working. I’ve narrowed down the problem to the YAK plugin.

Front end calendar works, and the back end loads, but I can’t add events because the popup window freezes.
