Shifting page content over... (1 post)

    This is the page I am looking at. As you can see, the content is shifted too far over to the right. That background is one huge image which I mapped to give it links so it would load faster: it was giving me problems before. I obviously want all the products to be visible without having to scroll.

    Although it's the shop page on my website, I'm using a template designed for charity work, and made some tweaks to their "Donate" template.

    The donate template says:

    <div class="content">

        <div class="wrapper">

    So, I went to the stylesheet and saw this:

    .donate-content{
        border-bottom:1px solid #91A8AD;
        border-top: 1px solid #91A8AD;
        display: inline-block;
        margin: 0 auto;
        padding: 35px 0;
        text-align:center;
        width: 100%;}

    Here's what the global settings have to say about width:

    body{
        background-color: #cce3e8;}
    .
    {
        width: 960px;
        margin: 0 auto;}

    .left{float:left;}
    .right{float:right;}

    Okay, so 960 px is apparently not the full screen. I took a wild guess and changed the width in JUST THE DONATE CONTENT SECTION to 1500px.

    ...which resulted in the content ON EVERY PAGE, even the ones that didn't move that template, being moved over, and the header being stretched out, and things just looking ugly in general.

    So now what should I do?

    Remember that I have no clue what I'm doing and have run out of "let's play around and screw up time" because my goal is to get this site out in time for Xmas shopping, and as you all know Black Friday is tomorrow, so this site has to be functional, like, soon.
