I want to create a small network of WP Blogs that share users but not content/themes/plugins, etc. Essentially the network site are completely stand-alone on their own domains except that once registered/aproved on one, authors can post on all...
This is not simply a "use MU" scenario, though the answer may still lie there...
Thoughts?

I haven't tried it myself and haven't read it all the way through I'll admit but it's being presented as a multi site hack.

After much reading and more thought, it seems MU is probably the way to go - as long as I can do the same custom-domain thing that they do... having trouble finding out how that's done...
