Sharing Plugins on Own Hosting (4 posts)

I purchased my own hosting and installed WordPress. I have one blog--my own.

People can sign up (I enabled it). But how can I actually give them their own blogs under my hosting? Is it possible to share plugins across all accounts?

Using the WP downloaded from this site you can't offer other users their own blog. The most you can do: make for them a category.

I guess the simple solution would be "ditch shared plugins" and just install two versions of wordpress with two different databases?

That's certainly one option, ashes999. You don't even necessarily need two databases if you're careful with the wp-config.php's database prefix field.
