hey jeremy we have removed jetpack. complications with the plugin continue. First off todays new issue we noticed that the pubicize part is now promoting wrong links, and promoting wordpress default links versus the actual link as it did yesterday.
the second reason no security plugin allows it, the security plugins have to be modified in order to allow such actions.
the second reason if using anything other than pubicize and stats it damages the look of the site. Thanks but have to pass on this.

Is your problem similar to what others have reported here?

If so, I'm afraid I don't have a solution yet; it seems the issue appeared on Thursday, but we haven't found what caused the bug yet.

the second reason no security plugin allows it, the security plugins have to be modified in order to allow such actions.

Some security plugins do indeed block access to your site's XML-RPC file. Jetpack, as well as other services, plugins and apps such as the Mobile apps, use this file to communicate with your site.
Most security plugins do include an option to unblock XML-RPC access though. If the plugin doesn't offer such option, I can only suggest that you contact the plugin author to let them know about the issue.

The second reason if using anything other than pubicize and stats it damages the look of the site.

If you're willing to give me more details about this, I'd be happy to help. Jetpack shouldn't change the look of your site, and shouldn't break its layout. If it does, you might want to reinstall the plugin from scratch to make sure you do not use a corrupted or outdated version.
