When I see an interesting article on another blog or website, I use the sharethis plugin found on many blogs which posts a link to the article directly to your blog.
However, does anyone know of a way post the actual text of the article on your blog instead of a link. Also, is there a way to add text to it (as in a regular post)

Due to copyright laws, I doubt that there is a way to post the actual text of the article on your blog. Hence, the reason for ShareThis.
I could be wrong, but I certainly wouldn't post actual text from another site without getting permission first.

Well, it seems like everyone does it. I, very often, come across blogs that have entire articles from a newspaper like the New York Times but it's made apparent that the article is not original material.

They probably cut-and-paste. I don't know of an automated way to do it.
