Share icon don't show in Firefox

    Hello,

    the share buttons don’t show in Firefox.

    At the bottom of the posts I use the widget SimpleShare Buttons, the share text (“share this”) appears, but not the icons for FB, twitter, etc at the side.

    In the sidebar I use the widget Virtue-Social Links, but the icons don’t appear either.

    With IE and Chrome it works fine.

    Can you send a link?

    Firefox has a weird issue with icon font files, If they are hosted on another domain it won’t read them. So if you copied the site or are redirecting it can cause this to happen. Or if you switched from a www to a non www link.

    It’s here for example: http://www.saulo-silveira.com/exposicao-espaco-lima/

    at the end of the post (plugin Simple Share buttons), the share text “partilhar” appears but not the icons

    and on the sidebar (widget virtue-social link), below “também em:” there are the link, but not the icons.

    WP is installed in the root directory, normal installation of the virtue theme, the database was not copied, everything items and posts were new-made.

    Try disabling your minify plugin and let me know.

    Hello,

    I disabled and even deleted the files for the minify plugin, but that’s almost the same, that is the images for the buttons (top of the page for ex) are back, but the icons are still missing. I emptied the cache and refreshed several times, nothing has changed.

    Strange, I just looked in firefox and it’s working fine. I see all the icons.

    Could be that your browser cache needs to be cleared.

    It till doesn’t work on my computer with Firefox, but I’ve checked on other PCs with FF and it works just fine. So I guess that something’s wrong with mine.

    Are you using a popup blocker? or anything like that?

    Yes I have the popup option from Firefox on, and Adblock Plu. Do you think it has anything to do with it?

    Yes, I think there is a good chance thats the issue, did you try disabling those?

    Bingo! that was the Adblock Plus…

    now everything works fine, even on my PC.
