    Hi there,

My client has their server set to SFTP, and I've uploaded all the wp files OK. I know I can just upload new plugins manually using Dreamweaver or whatever, and I'm not that concerned about auto-updating them ( altho it would be nice ) .. what i DO need is to be able to upload images into the CMS.

I get the following error when i try to upload files:

I installed the SSH SFTP Updater Support plugin but I really don't know how to make that help. If i put in the SFTP details i'm using OK in Dreamweaver, it fails. http://cl.ly/image/3Y273X0u2n0Z

Could you tell me how to allow file uploads from within WP on an SFTP server please?
    Thanks!

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    BOOM !

misreading your advice I changed the permissions on the main wp directory ( 766 denied me access to wp-admin lol ) but then tried changing the permissions on the wp-content folder to 777 ( as you suggested ) and i'm in busness.

Thanks Esmi, for all you do on these forums.
    You're a star ^_^
