I'm having an issue with my WordPress images on the Seventeen theme (http://themeforest.net/item/seventeen-wordpress-theme/476131). The problem I am having is that non of my uploaded images are showing, my suspicions are that it has something to do with it being in a subdirectory but I may be wrong.

I've just uploaded the same theme on to a site which isn't a sub-site and the same issue has occured, the images are not showing up.
Has anyone come across this issue before?

Just like to state that it is not working for featured images and thumbnails only, images that are inserted within the posts are fine.

Looks like your theme uses timthumb for the featured image.
I keep seeing issues come up with themes using timthumb, and the images not loading.
A few months ago, there was a well documented security issue with timthumb. That has been fixed, but I've heard that some hosting providers block timthumb outright. That may be something for you to look into
