    Hi guys,
I have just setup a new wordpress site and I am still very much learning the ropes.

I have one quick immediate question.

Basically the site I would like to make will have one page which will give me the ability to post new posts every day like a blog but the other pages I would like just as "static?" pages as the information on the other pages won't change.

Can someone link me or explain what is the best way to do this?

The theme I would like to use is Responsive.

Thank you guys and kind regards.

You can just create pages for the static pages - see:

To put them in a menu, see:

    Hi,
    Thanks for that. That helps.

Now however, how do I set it so that my home page is just a static page?

I want it to just be like how it is from stock responsive.

Then on the nav bar I have

    Home---Latest Posts---About Us

    etc.

At the moment when I post a message it goes in both latest posts and on the home page.

    Thanks

Under Settings > Reading, you can pick a static page. But I think Responsive may also have a theme-specific option that's different, so you may want to check out their dedicated forums and help here:

    Hi,
When I do it that way it allows me to sett one of my pages as a static homepage but I can't set it to use the stock home page only one of the pages I have created and of course they look very different.

I will ask on there as well :)

    Thanks
