   Greetings,
   I recently uploaded WP on Blue Host with the
   intention of creating "static mini sites vs
   actually setting up a blog.

   I am new at this and am finding it a little confusing
   as I attempt to find out how to set this up properly.

   Is there any basic instruction manual to take me through
   the steps of setting up WP as a platform for creating
   mini sites?

   The version I uploaded from BLue Host was 2.6.5

   I know that there is now yet another WP version out there.

   Would it be wise to update to this version before I attempt
   to do anything else?

   Any kind of input would be really helpful at this time.

   perhaps you could explain that better?
   What is a mini site?

   Not sure what you mean by mini sites, but this will show you how to change your site to regular pages instead of having a blog. Or, if you still wanted to have a blog, you could create a separate blank page and assign that as the blog page.
