    my website is http://www.gimmetwenty.com
I have installed multisite so that I can have sub directories for different cities such as http://www.gimmetwenty.com/albuquerque or http://www.gimmetwenty.com/lascruces

However, I need the main url "www.gimmetwenty.com" moved to a sub directy as well because it is set up for El Paso but I really need it to be http://www.gimmetwenty.com/elpaso so that I can make the home page a place where you can choose your city.

So what you need to do is make a new site for El Paso and then import the content that's on the main url to the new site you just created: "http://www.gimmetwenty.com/elpaso.

Then on the main url you can create some sort of landing page. I recently wrote a post about how to map a domain to multisite but that is a bit different.

Are you familiar with the import and export features of WordPress?

    Hi Patrick,
I have done that which you can see here : http://www.gimmetwenty.com/el-paso and imported my .xml . However, the problem I am facing now is that it didn't import any of my registered users or pictures!

Is there a way to import those??

Thank you so much for the reply!

Here are some great plugins to check out:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/import-users-from-csv/

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multisite-user-management/

I believe that with the User Management you can organize all the users on all of the sites, though I'm not certain because I've never used it.
