I have just installed WP 3.0.1 on a shared server and am succesfully up and running with my first few posts. However, I would like to implement geotagging along with posts from the iPhone when travelling, and have managed to create and publish posts but can find no way of geotagging them. Tried to set it up as per http://en.support.wordpress.com/geotagging/ but My Location setting does not exist so is this just a feature of the WordPress.com hosted sites? If not, what am I missing?
If you want to geo-tag from a hosted solution, you will need to install a plugin such as gPress - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gpress/ - or Geolocation - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/geolocation/ - both of which require one of the official Automattic mobile apps for the BlackBerry, iPhone or Android to geo-tag whilst on the go...

Thanks very much for the reply - will give one of the plugins a go. I am already using the WordPress app for the iPhone which is generating extra fields for geotagging, so what was missing is the plugin to handle those I guess.
