   I would like to set domain names of subdirectory sites on my multisite install to 127.0.0.1 in my hosts file. This allows me to set a cron job that uses wget to prime my nginx cache without data usage from my service provider. Is their any pitfalls that anyone can think of that would be a reason to not do this.

   I have a niggling feeling it might redirect visitors to that URL somehow, but you can give it a try.
