    Hi!

We set up Networks, created blogs.dir and edited .htaccess file. When we create new sites, everything appears to function properly until you go to the site. If you go to this site; http://theredspoonblog.com/producestand/wp-admin/ you will see the page that displays, which is not a dashboard (unless you are blocked due to credentials). If you go to this link; http://theredspoonblog.com/producestand/ you will see a very generic text page. How do we get the site and dashboard functioning properly? The main site (http://theredspoonblog.com) works just fine.

    Thanks!
    Meg

    Hey,
I am having the exact same issue. I have been trying to find the answer for the last 6 hours on this forum and others and can't. I would GREATLY appreciate an explanation about why this is happening.

    Cheers!

  3. It's a Sunday and we're all volunteers here. :)

Also, the same issue has been dealt with in other threads.

Basically, your .htaccess file is not being read properly by mod_rewrite on the server. It looks "plain" because it can't find the stylesheet (which is there).

So, either ask your webhost support ("Hi, my htaccess changes aren't being read") or fix it if you have access to Apache's vhost configurations by adding to the vhost entry for that domain:
    AllowOverride FileInfo Options

    That should do it.
