I'm using Multisite, and I'm trying to set a featured image. But it's nowhere to be found!

If I click on Screen Options at the top, it's not there either.

Adding an image link in the custom field area doesn't work either.

(Using iThemes' Builder + Kepler child theme)

  2. Featured images are added to posts. So you upload an image to a post, right?

Does that theme support featured images?

Yes, trying to add it to a post. The theme calls for it and it says to do it in the documentation, but the feature isn't where it should be in WordPress.

Where should I be trying to add this? I'm using iThemes Builder (parent theme) with a child theme. There are many functions.php files and I'm getting a little bogged down...

Also, are post thumbnails the same as featured images?

Ah hah! So, I figured something else out. For some reason, the Set Featured Image box is available when I edit a Page, but not a Post. Ideas?

What happens if you switch to Twenty Eleven?

So that means that the issue is in your theme. It's disabling the featured image in Pages - either by accident or design. What happens if you use the parent theme?

Yep--when I activate the parent theme, it reappears. So it's the child theme's problem...
