I receive this error while publishing a post. Can anyone help me by explaining what it means. I contacted my host, they said they don't provide support for third party..
Server Error
The following error occurred:
[code=SERVER_RESPONSE_CLOSE] The server closed the connection while reading the response. Contact your system administrator.
Please contact the administrator.

In my experience, this is a Windows problem when a large script runs. You could clear your WP cach. Also, the temp internet files in your browser.

The database server might have closed down the connection because it has reached the maximum time of waiting for something to be inserted into it.
How about try the following:

3 things:
1. Ensure that you have run /wp-admin/upgrade.php.
2. Check that the "WordPress address (URI)" and "Blog address (URI)" is correct in Options > General (no trailing slash).
3. Try removing rpc.pingomatic.com/ from the "Update Services" list in Options > Writing.
