• Okay, awoke today to this gorgeous error message;

    WordPress database error: [Got error 28 from storage engine]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM liberated1_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2005-10-25 12:02:59’ AND (post_status = “publish”) GROUP BY liberated1_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 10

    which appears on all wordpress installations on this reseller pakcage I own. Funny thing is though, there are also some phpBB forums that WERE down but are now back up and running while the wordpress issues continue.

    Is this a wordpress issue or a server issue?

    http://theliberation.net/ is my personal weblog, other sites on the server include http://footygamer.co.uk/ and http://theliberation.net/liberated/demo/, as well as a plethora of hostee sites – none too happy, either.

    Knowing the ways of the world this will resolve itself within 5 minutes of me posting this, but theres no harm in checking.

  • Although you will find a lot of posts related to error 28 – it is definitely a host issue. Contact your host asap.

    Ah, sorry, should have searched first. Just wasn’t really sure what to search for (I would have thought mySql screwed up would be too generic, no?)
