I have just installed WP 2.0.5. Seems like a great package. Unfortunately it will not work correctly.
I get "server not found" and/or blank pages at several instances, such as commenting (wp-comments-post.php), posting (post.php) and other.
The installation is completely out-of-the-box with no plugins and the default theme - only it is installed in a subdirectory (the correct URI is set in "Options").
It might of course be a problem with my host. My ISP runs MySQL and PHP 5 (in safe mode, whatever that is), and as far as I know the server is Apache.
However, what really worries me was when I stumbled on this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/33847 - seems like similar problems has been known in this community for 1½ year, without a solution?
I would really like to run this seamingly fine peace of software, so hopefully sombody has a hint?

    Yours
    Lars K. Christensen

A posting on the Danish WP-site wordpress.dk quickly pointed me to the solution: install the wordpress 2.0.5 tune-up plugin from http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2006/10/28/some-wordpress-205-users-reporting-server-500-error
As far as I can tell, it has eliminated all errors :-)
