Server IP Shows in Address Bar and Lower Left Corner (2 posts)

I'm using WAMP and Word Press 2.7.1 on 2003 Server SP2. Another application is using port 80. WordPress is set up and operating properly on port 8080. The Word Press blog can initially be accessed using a URL, http://blog.xxxx.edu:8080/blog. However once I click the Log In link and login to Word Press the server IP is displayed in the address bar from that point on. Also, once logged on if I mouse over any links on any of the page the server IP is also displayed in the lower left hand corner of the display window. This is unacceptable. I've been searching\reading through the Word Press forums and searching on Google to no avail.
Does anyone know how I can remedy this issue?

    Thanks
    JoeP.

check and make sure that http://blog.xxx.edu:8080/blog is set for both the blog url and worpdress url in the General Options page of wordpress.
