hi
Sorry I'm a complete novice and would appreciate some idiots guide to fix my problem If possible.
My Server was hacked by WwW. Turk Web Security. and I have 10 sites all hacked. all running wordpress.
I've managed to simple change the .index file to restore the front page of all the sites but I cannot log into my sitename.com/wp-admin page. - its still coming up as the hacker page.
How do I change this file ?
Rather than spending days failing i'm hoping someone can help me out.

thanks - but I'm still at a loss how do I simple change the w-admin section - via ftp - without losing everything.
So I can then upload the new version of wordpress. / delete plugins etc.

Your content is stored in your database - not in any files.

but how do I simply log into my site via mysite.com/wp-admin - If this page is hacked.

Because, by that time, you will have followed all of the steps detailed in the links I gave above and will have cleaned the hack (and its back doors) out of your site.

Ive tried updating the wordpress folder and got this error now.
Your server is running PHP version 4.4.9 but WordPress 3.3.1 requires at least 5.2.4.

No one suggested updating WordPress. You need to upload a fresh copy of your current version of WordPress. Which was?

Ah! So your site is now running OK but using an older version of WordPress, yes? What version and who are your hosts?
