I had a server crash that held the wordpress blog. I have copies of the database, and the raw files from the shell of the server. However when I place them on a "New" server, I get a blank screen. Can someone please help and tell me what I need to do ?

Posted 3 months ago #Well I was able to get the broken server up, but not sure for how long. I tried to migrate the software by using Xclone to duplicate the site and move it to another location. For some reason it didnt take and was not viewable, just a blank page. Can someone please tell me why it is so dificult to move a WordPress site to a new server? Almost makes me want to use other blog software, as it shouldnt be this hard to move. Due to I have all of the actual data, and database, yet I cannot make this work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is not that hard to move wordpress manually you will find instructions here.
