Sermon Manager
Sermon Manager writes over other widgets (5 posts)

I've installed Sermon Manager and have it working -- thanks.

However, I have a collection of widgets in my page footer. These include some widgets that display the contents of a selected page (e.g. "Page In Widget")

When I view e.g. the page for an individual sermon, I find that sermon manager writes over the content of that widget with a copy of the sermon details and controls which is obviously a significant issue! See e.g. http://hopedev.eu/sermons/press-on-to-find-more-joy/.

    Please can you help???

I'm having a very similar problem. The conflict seems to be with the "Custom Post Widget" (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-widget/), which uses a custom post type called "content_block."

I've got a fix for this that you can help test by updating your sermons.php file from here: https://github.com/wpforchurch/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/blob/master/sermons.php

This fix doesn't seemed to have helped at all. :/ Here's a blog post with a screenshot of the problem I'm seeing and details on my build: http://danielsworkshop.com/blog/2013/01/25/bug-report-sermon-manager-conflict-with-custom-post-widget/

    Thanks for your help!

I found another plugin which does something similar to "Custom Post Widget." It's called Content Widget (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/content-widget/).

However, in my testing, Sermon Manager does NOT write over Content Widget as it does the Custom Post Widget.
