Seriously Frustrating ‘Can’t Find Address’ Error

Hi There, i’m new to wordpress, i installed it around 2 or 3 days ago now, and i’ve had quite a few problems, but this just keeps happening and i don’t know what the problem is.

First of all, my blog url is http://thestraff.co.uk (first of all, i tried to change the address to www. but this won’t work??) – but i reverted the settings so i could access my admin again and continue working on my blog – now here’s the main problem

Every morning, especiall yesterday i couldn’t access the site (tried Firefox + IE), but nothing, so i researched various trouble shooting methods, which as follows:

– logged in to MyphpAdmin and checked that the ‘url’ and ‘home’ setting are set to http://thestraff.co.uk – which they are

– a quickfix onto my themes functions.php file that entails the follwing lines of code:

update_option(‘siteurl’,’http://example.com/blog’);
update_option(‘home’,’http://example.com/blog’);

– tried accessing my site through a proxy server incase my I.P somehow was being blocked from accessing the site (dont know why that would of happened, but i tried!)

So yeah – i’m not entirely sure what’s wrong, i havn’t messed around with the permalinks so i really have no idea what has gone wrong?

– i’ve even removed plugins from my host file manager that i thought may have caused the problem, alas – nothing!

Does ANYONE have ANY ideas what the problem could be, and how to solve it? – this would be greatly appreciated.
