My domain is http://table4five.net. I've been getting a fatal cache error on it every day, and BlueHost finally determined that the Akismet plugin was the problem. I couldn't even get in to deactivate it, they had to do it from their end. Once the plugin was deactivated, I stopped seeing the error.
Table for Five is a large blog with over two years of posts, and the BlueHost tech support person offered the possibility that Akismet is not meant to protect larger blogs from spam. Could that be the case, or could it be something else? I looked at Spam Karma, but it says it is only compatible up to WP 2.1.
Does anyone have another suggestion for me for spam protection?
