Hi there,
when you uninstall WP SlimStat, you get a warning saying that all the data associated to this plugin will be deleted, so I’m not sure what confused you when you saw that all your stats were gone. Maybe I should add a yellow blinking arrow and a huge red WARNING sign to get your attention?
As for the ‘crash’, I suppose it was because of WP SlimStat Dashboard Widgets removed from the package (as described in the changelog). You should have read the changelog and you would have found out that it was simply a matter of going here
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-slimstat-dashboard-widgets/
and installing it again 🙂
I was expecting some backlash related to this, but I’m sorry to see your very negative rating, since our team has spent so much in perfecting WP SlimStat and making it the most flexible stats plugin out there. Thank you anyway for your feedback, and we hope you will come back.
Cheers,
Camu
It also amazes me how people like you never take some time to give good reviews when they are deserved, but don’t hesitate to create an account and rush to this page as soon as they find a (minor) problem 🙁 Very discouraging…
Yeah, that’s life… Most of the time it is always the same kind of people who act like this: you never hear from them when things go right but when just one tiny thing goes wrong they come creeping out of their holes and start shouting.
And yes, very discouraging.
Exactly. And what’s even worse is that they then disappear as fast as they appeared. Thank you for your kind words, though!
I don’t understand this kind of users, they don’t read, they dont take any backups so of course they will always lose!
Keep up your great work for this plugin!!
No confusion here.
Just further annoyance with your wholly no-helpful comments.
If Slimstat had a warning saying “all the data associated to this plugin will be deleted” I would have stopped – BUT IT DIDN’T !
All it said was these FILES will be deleted – not of them were data files.
We all make programming errors.
One professional way to handle it is to appreciate a bug report
and sympathize with the person who had data loss due to your software not being perfect or obvious.
A non-professional way to do handle it is to insult the messenger.
Since you’ve “spent so much in perfecting WP SlimStat” why did you release Version 3.1 ?
Not for bug fixes of course.
I was going to keep trying it until I found the insults.
Not any more.
WordPressers Beware.
YES IT DID SAY THAT THE DATA WOULD BE DELETED AS WELL! Try installing it again and going to the uninstall screen. It says it IN BOLD, for God’s sake! Even the button that you click to confirm, I just checked, SAYS CLEAR AND LOUD THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO DELETE FILES AND DATA. Please learn to read English, before coming here and annoying me even more. People like you are the reason why more and more developers, who DONATE THEIR SPARE TIME AND ALL THEIR KNOWLEDGE TO THE COMMUNITY FOR FREE, decide to abandon their products or to adopt the ‘premium’ model. Because they have had enough from losers like you, who whine and complain about THEIR OWN mistakes.
Now go back to your mommy and ask her to tuck you in when she puts you to sleep.
