• Hi,
WIth iPhone becoming so popular, is there a way I can define two themes (based on wether user is on iPhone or PC I would like to deliver the appropriate theme).

Is there a way to do this?

Because I can see that only one theme can be activated at a time.

  • yeah…I actually just stumbled on these plugin, and I really dig them

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=wapple

one does up your sirtes frontend, and one does up your admin area…there are a few other plugins that work as well, but I had problems or just wasn’t happy…. but (so far) these plugins are doing great

Plus the guy in charge of them is really good at supporting his stuff so far…..

    Thanks, will look into thoose.

So far, the best I have seen in WPTouch.
But I am missing the “theme”ing or styling part there.

Also I would prefer to be able to design the mobile theme extensively like a notmal web theme…

the wapple architecture plugin allows for some pretty good css stuff, plus a lot of choices on functions and stuff….

Its supposed to be really flexible in detecting what type of mobile devices are being used, and only sending the appropriate level of content

like my palm pre looks real nice with my full css and everything I applied for mobile, but my wife’s old handset gets a fairly basic logo and text page.

I haven’t tested it too much yet on many handset emulators….and I haven’t dug too deep into the css yet…but I like what I’ve gotten out of it…

I guess if you are intent on only styling for the iphone, there may be better options, but this one is good for varying themes by all handsets…
