• I honestly have no clue where to turn to for help regarding this, so any help from you guys would be appreciated, even if it’s just pointing me in the right direction of where to find an answer for this.

I’m a musician, I’m on virtually every networking website around, and I felt it was high time to get my personal website up and running. I originally intended on just having the website with all of my information, shows, venues, etc… but then decided I wanted to have a blog on the side as well, discussing other music related things, up and coming artists, etc…

After starting the website I realized that mixing the two isn’t in my best interest. Promoting my own career, on just a few clicks away from promoting someone else’ just didn’t look right in my eyes. So I decided I would have a splash page enabled to separate it. An image, and underneath would be “Choice | Blog” Or however I decided to do it, with probably a music player of sorts under that. That’s all irrelevant though.

My question is this. Is there any way using wordpress to do this? From my ignorant stand point, I think it would require two wordpress installations with two themes, or the same theme just edited differently. Otherwise, when you click on “Blog” all of my personal info could still be located off of that part of the site, and vise versa, which isn’t what I’m going for. I’m essentially trying to run two websites and only connect them biased on a link from the main one saying “Blog” and a link on the blog side linking back to my personal page.

Promotion wise I felt this would be the most professional way to go about it, but I’m not the most wordpress or code friendly person, so I really have no idea where to start. Like I said, any help is appreciated to the fullest, and thanks for taking the time out to read all of this. :). Take Care.
