SEO by Yoast adding index.php to end of URL

    I’m trying to use SEO by Yoast with Smallbiz Theme and each time I activate the plugin it adds /index.php to the end of my homepage URL, thus causing it not to load. It is also adding index.php in all Yoast SEO fields under the home page SEO details. Any ideas?
