Till now, I cannot delete comments from my PC, XP, firewall turned off, cookies and cache cleaned up. But now, it turns out that I cannot add links to the blog either, I get exactly the same error message as for the comments, i.e.
Sorry, you need to enable sending referrers, for this feature to work.
Now, I suppose I can go to my iBook, and do the job from there. But that means that if I want to blog, I'll have to carry my iBook everywhere.
This is a big drawback for me. Thanks for your help.

    This isn't a WP issue, it's a browser issue.

  3. Have you tried FireFox yet?

    I am using Firefox 1.0
I just looked up the Firefox support as NuclearMoose said it was a browser issue, but this referrers thing is not mentioned. I am really at a loss what to do. I use Firefox 1.0 on the iBook and it's OK.

  5. Out of curiosity, have you posted this over in the FireFox forums yet? http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23
It's probably not an FF problem (I've never noticed it), but someone there might have a few ideas. Just make sure to let them know that the problem exists when using FF on a PC, but you don't notice the problem when using your Mac. That should fire up all the PC guys there to help...with being beat by a Mac and all...

I finally de-installed and re-installed WordPress and all the tables in the database, which for me was scary, because I am no expert. And when I reinstalled, the referrers messages had disappeared.
Now I am tackling templates, and that is quite another story!

It's dev. not a FF problem.
It works when norton IS is disabled. working on that now.
It seems, that my router is not causing any troubles ( for now, at least )

Just installed the WP, this is my first post to the forum. All well, but the error referrer... I read the article in codex.wordpress. The firewalls are disabled. Two PC. One, Linux with FireFox and Opera. The second, XP with Opera an IExplorer. I read a post of cff: maybe re-installing the solution? has some reason for the re-instaltatión? maybe an issue with the router?
