   I have added a few people to my blog as authors but I expect them to receive a notification by email about this with their email.
   This doesnt seem to be happening, did I do something wrong or is this not an option?

   As far as I know, if you add someone, no mail is auto-sent.
   If they add themselves, they should get a mail.

   If they are adding themselves and getting no mail, did you get an email when you setup your blog ? If not, it's a host problem.
