    I have a webpage created, in this webpage there is a form, with a text area, and the user is able to insert text into it, there is also an option box next to it where the user is able to choose from a range of options.

    As such -

    '<form method="post" action="processquery.php" method="post">
    <textarea rows="10" cols="60" wrap="physical" name="comments">
    Enter Request/Problem here
    </textarea>
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">
    </form>

    <?php
    echo "Choose the Type of Request";
    ?>

    <SELECT NAME="Favorite_Color" SIZE="1">
    <OPTION SELECTED>General
    <OPTION>Server
    <OPTION>Database
    <OPTION>Environment
    <OPTION>Requirement
    </SELECT>
    </body>
    </html>'

    I need to be able to send text (the user entered into the text area)- to a database, which is then retrieved on another webpage. But, the text is only sent to specific php files, BASED ON WHAT OPTION IS CHOSEN. How do I go about doing this with the above code, I understand the text can be sent to a database and then the text can be retrieved from another php file/web page.

    This is a bit outside the scope of these forums. I would suggest reading some general PHP and web programming tutorials.
