Send Multiple copies issue

    Hi
    I’m using the great Wysija plugin for 2 weeks already.

    In the firs time he send out the single newsletter i have, it sends multiple copies (2 or 3 times) to the same person! it was very embarrassing. i check the setting and it was on “SMTP” (via Gmail).

    So i change it to “From your server” via PHP mail. it was fine for more then a week, but now it happens again and it send to my list 3 time’s the same email. i checked the settings, and it still sending with my own server via PHP mail.

    What could be the problem?

    Hello there,

    That’s a very odd issue, I can imagine this happening on a php server, since local email server can be a bit buggy. Now the one on gmail surprises me a lot.

    Most likely this is not a problem with Wysija, we remove the email from the queue as soon as we send it, so that should not happen.

    Though I would be interested in looking at that issue. We don’t offer support here as this is rather complicated to keep track. Can you create a ticket here : support.wysija.com/

    I have the same problem and using smtp via professional host.

    I had the same problem, the email went three times to over 500 people – very embarrassing for us.

    Hello,

    Sorry to hear that!
    The same email went 3 times or 3 identical copies of one email went once? We know there was a punctual bug that could potentially create one or two copy of the same email, in some very specific case but it has been secured since then.
    Make sure you have the latest version always.
