• Just playing with replacing a working Drupal site with WordPress.

Generally, I’m really happy with WordPress.

I found “Role Scoper” which allows me to create and assign roles to restrict access to pages.

However, I wish to add ecommerce where purchase of an item will assign access to a role for a certain amount of time, after which the role will expire.

Is this possible? I’ve spent hours searching.

    Thanks,
    Ben Zimmer

  • No free solution that I’m aware of, but I’m available for short-term consulting to develop that feature for you. After writing a supporting Role Scoper these past 2 years, I could probably develop that feature pretty cleanly and efficiently.

Role Scoper 1.1 supports date limits for role duration and content date. To sync that up with your e-commerce solution, you’ll have to do some additional scripting (or hire me to do it).
