    Hello!

I acquired webspace at some webhoster to host my blog there. I registered a .com domain via WordPress.com and I want to stay with it as the registrar, so I intend to map my domain to the nameservers of the new hoster. However, so far I didn't perform the mapping.

So I installed the software from WordPress.org on my new webspace into the folder:

    /htdocs/blog-name/

If I try to login into my local installation under:

    http://client.webhoster.de/blog-name/wp-login.php

I see a screen with the wordpress icon and a dialog asking for my login data. However, after entering the data from my local account, nothing will happen, but instead of this it redirects me to my account on WordPress.com.

I don't see why this is the case. There should be no connection between the two accounts, as I tried it with completely different login data.

My new webhoster already has my .com domain in his system. But this shouldn't matter I think, because I still haven't registered the nameservers of the hoster in the WordPress.com account.

Does anyone know why this redirection occurs and why I cannot login to my local installation?

Okay, it's solved. The problem was caused by the fact that "blog-name.com" was set for 'siteurl' in the sql-table "wp_options". Probably, because my new provider set the domain as default, although it's not yet mapped. It was automatically taken during the 1-click installation process.

    I didn't expect that.
