    Hi,

I’m suddenly running into 404s on

    a) individual posts
    b) monthly archives

while category archives work fine using my standard permalink structure /%category%/%postname%/.

I reset the permalink structure to the standard one (ie “?p=10”) and all posts and archives worked, so I’m guessing it’s a permalink problem.

However, given it works on categories (and has worked for the rest before – I’m changing a lot there at the moment, so I don’t have a particular thing I could identify as origin), permalinks in general seem to be working, and I’m a bit of a loss as to what would be the problem.

I’ll disable plugins and see what happens, but I’d really appreciate and idea – thanks a lot in advance!

    the blog URL is “http://www.dorotheeschwarz.de“.

    yms

OK, I found the problem – I used this neat trick by Jörg Petermann to to get rid of the ‘/category/’ URL identifier by adding and changing some of nthe mod-rewrite commands in classes.php. However, I forgot to put the category rewrite rules as last element in the rewrite chain so all others will be written before the modifications are (possibly) applied.

BTW, if done correctly, this is a great URL enhancer. If someone needs a translation to English (that is, if the code isn’t self-explanatory), just ask.
