New to WP and love what I’m seeing. I am beginning to understand the important of selecting the “correct” theme – otherwise, I’m going to have to learn a lot of coding to “tweak” a selected theme to do something it wasn’t designed to do.

In order for me to do this, I really need to know what options are available to me that are part of a theme. That way I can really understand what is tied to the theme itself and then I can make the best decision based on what options I should be looking for.

Can anyone help guide me? What I’m trying to avoid is selecting a theme and then wanting to add a feature only to find out that the theme doesn’t support it. Again, I have no coding experience and really don’t have time to go deep into learning how to recode a theme.

I think my needs are simple, but I’d love to see just what a theme is capable of and then I hopefully can match that to my needs and then select the appropriate theme.

    Thanks in advance.
